Patrol shoulder knots consist of two overlapping strands, even if they are both of the same color.
The traditional patrol animals referenced are from Scouting for Boys (SfB). Other references are from specific BPSA-US Groups, (i.e. 55th Sasquatch Patrol).
Each Group should decide on allowed patrol animals and colors, with preference given to local fauna and meaningful color combinations (i.e. khaki/black for the Honey Badger patrol; based in Africa, SW Asia, or India).
Colors not listed, but showing on the color chart, can be requested.
